Learning Opportunities
Residents of the active adult community in Georgetown, Sun City Texas, have many opportunities to pursue learning opportunities. Within the Sun City Texas community itself, residents have over 40 clubs that offers classes, field trips, lectures and speakers.
Sun City Texas Computer Club
Residents are so committed to learning that the Computer Club has grown to be the largest chartered club and offers access to a wide variety of computer programs and individual or group instruction in addition to specialized training classes.

Sun City Texas Lending Library
The Sun City Texas community activity center also boasts a large free lending library with books on all topics. Foreign language classes are offered by various community clubs. There are classes in art, dancing, investment, horticulture, photography, woodworking and much more.
Senior University Classes
Since its inception in 1997, Senior University Georgetown has invited all persons age 50 and over to participate in its fee-based courses and special events. Senior University’s primary objective is to provide quality learning experiences for its members.
The response to Senior University’s offerings has been tremendous and membership continues to grow. At the present time, over 600 members are active in Senior University Georgetown.
Senior University offers programs that provide lifelong learning to people age 50 and over in the Greater Georgetown area. The programs involve neither examinations nor academic credit but are designed for enjoyment, intellectual stimulation, and active discussion of important issues of the day.
Lifelong learning opportunities are abundant and Sun City Texas residents take full advantage.
